UNIS Wrestling looks strong in Home/Conference Opener winning 57-6 against Southern Vance

The UNIS wrestled their home and conference opener last night hosting Southern Vance in front of a nice crowd at the PEC. Thanks to all who came out to support the team. Special shout out to Gustavo Sosa-Macias's parents driving all the way up from Lumberton for the match. Gustavo made it worth the trip for them recording the fastest pin of the night for the UNIs at 33 seconds in the 160 weight class. On the night Science and Math recorded 5 additional pin falls by Ryan Greenblatt 113, Ben Hawley 126, Ben Nichols 132, Isaiah Fleming 138 and Ayden Hochstein 152. Jason Blaisdell put on a takedown clinic in his 10-5 victory at 182. This performance will surely have the rest of the conference on watch for the Unicorns for the remainder of the season. Great work team.

Next match is another conference event away at DSA on Dec 7th. Next home match is Dec 15th vs Franklinton.
