Wrestling Pins Franklinton 41-27
Durham, N.C. - In front of a loud and supportive home crowd the NCSSM Wrestling team was able to secure a 41-27 victory over Franklinton Wednesday night. Dominating performances were brought to the mat by several UNIs. Henry Seiler, Billy Gottenstrater, Jeshua Ray and Benson Robles all won by pin, three in the first period. Captain Josh Babich also put on an impressive performance with a 16-1 technical fall against his opponent. Emmet Hobgood really got the crowd going when his hand was raised to seal the victory for the UNIs.
The UNI wrestlers will have a busy schedule the next few days when they travel to Eastern Alamance for a two day tournament Friday and Saturday against some tough competition from all four school divisions followed by a Tri meet with South Granville and Wakefield on Monday the 17th.
The next wrestling home match is scheduled for January 4th when they will host Roanoke Rapids and Voyager. Go UNIs!!!!!
