Week of October 29, 2012 Updates
- The golf team saw Jessica Lee travel to Pinehurst for two days and completed a 40th place finish in the state championships.
- Tennis started the week off facing Dixon High School on the road and came away with the 5-0 win. The Unicorns then hosted Franklin Academy and took the 5-2 victory to secure the regional championship and move to the championship. The team faced Mt. Airy in the state finals on Saturday and dropped 5-0 in singles play to gain the runner-up trophy.
- Soccer awaited the winner of Camden/Cape Hatteras as a hurricane hit the east coast. Camden won on Friday night and traveled to Durham for a Saturday afternoon tilt. The UNIs grinded out the 2-0 win and move to a Wednesday match at home against Raleigh Charter.
- The Cross Country team ran at the 1A NCHSAA State Championships on Saturday. The men completed their season with a third place finish while the women completed a top ten finish.
