Week of October 22, 2012 Updates
- Golf started the play for the UNIs on the week as Jessica Lee and Kara Wheeler headed to the state regionals on Monday. Lee’s finish was strong enough for her to move onto the state championships in Pinehurst.
- Soccer completed their regular season on Wednesday with a 9-0 win on senior night. Coach Henry Gallagher was honored as he gained his 250th win for the men’s program.
- Volleyball traveled to Gates County on Tuesday for the second round of the state playoffs and they took the easy 3-0 win. Thursday saw the Unicorns face a hard fought five set season ending loss against Raleigh Charter.
- Tennis hosted Goldsboro on Tuesday in the second round of the dual team matches and took the easy win to move on. They will face Dixon High School on Monday.
- Cross country competed in Cary, N.C. on Saturday in the state regionals as the men took first place and the women finished in second. Both teams move onto the State Championships in Kearnersville.
