Week of October 8, 2012 Updates

-  Tennis wrapped up the regular season team Carolina 12 1A championship to start the week.  They also hosted the Carolina 12 individual tournament with Anna Page, Gabrielle Beaudry, Amy Xu, Chengyu Weng, Ashleigh Cleveland and Erin Rymiszewski qualifying for the state playoffs.

-  Cross Country took the Dennis Cullin Award for the best overall showing at the Durham City-County Meet.  The women’s team took the John Gray Award for their first place finish.

-  Golf hosted the Carolina 12 championships and finished with a second place finish in the conference.  Jessica Lee was named to first team and Kara Wheeler to the second team.  Both of them qualify for regionals play in Goldsboro on October 22.  Fran James was named co-coach of the year for the Carolina 12.

-  Soccer takes two home wins against Raleigh Charter and Voyager to keep atop the Carolina 12. 

-  Volleyball gained a 3-1 win over Roxboro in their only action on the week.
