NCSSM Athletics Fall Update
Durham, N.C. - The fall sports seasons have begun and the Unicorns have gotten off to a great start in the first month of play. Below are some brief updates on the seasons so far.
Mens' Soccer
The mens' soccer team remains undefeated after sweeping DSA on the season with a 2-1 win on Thursday night. The Unicorns are 5-0-3 on the year and have nine more conference games to finish the regular season.
Volleyball
The volleyball team took a 3-2 win at Southern Vance on Thursday night and moved to 5-3 conference record. The team has six conference and two non-conference matches to finish the regular season.
Womens' Golf
The womens' golf has had a strong start and currently holds second place in the conference. The team has two more regular conference matches and the championship match before qualifying for regional play.
Mens' and Womens' Cross Country
The mens' and womens' cross country teams continue rolling and both won the conference meet on Tuesday at South Granville. The team has a few more conference meets, weekend invitationals, the Durham City/County meet and conclude with the conference championships before heading to regionals and states.
Womens' Tennis
The womens' tennis team continues their strong tradition with an undefeated regular season thus far. They have two more conference matches remaining before the conference tournament at Whippoorwill Park in Durham on October 15.
